Safari Oz Episode 4!
BOSKO 2010-05-28 18:04:52 Sorry for the delay - I've been a bit slack recently... hopefully there'll be a rush of new Safari Oz videos soon... In episode 4 we interview Trevor Dand who hosted us in the Sunshine Coast and go to the Kawana Waters Surf Club to perform and sing along with the Sunshine Coast Ukulele Masters Band... See Gensblue in his first Australian "crying appearance" (plenty more to come), and a great plectrum-banjo-style uke solo from the fabulous John Withers... Make sure you visit SCUM next time you're in the Sunshine Coast! Many thanks to Lynne and Trevor for their hospitality, and to all the wonderful folk we met in the Sunshine Coast! |

Lovely pressies from Adelaide!
BOSKO 2010-05-05 16:27:41 We were delighted and touched by a generous gift that arrived in the mail recently... a box containing 8 bottles of delicious South Australian wine, olive oil and vinegar - a gift from the lovely folk at the Adelaide Ukulele Appreciation Society ! Thank you SO much, whoever is responsible! We are enjoying them immensely (hic)! All the MORE reason to return to Adelaide some time...

SAFARI OZ KICK-OFF/FUNDRAISER, JAPAN
BOSKO 2010-01-11 02:24:17 Wow, what a day! A fund-raising benefit was held at Bar Hikoroku in Koenji, Tokyo today in support of Gensblue who will be joining us on Safari Oz in less than 3 weeks... So many lovely people attended, organised and performed... and WE WERE THERE TOO! Via Skype. More info after I've had a sleep... Shelley Rickey of The Uke Box did the artwork and graphic design, and I can tell you, it looks GREAT! Here's the front cover: 
All these artists have donated their song for this limited-run CD, entitled "Bosko & Honey Presents... Ukulele Safari Volume One" in support of Ukulele Safari Oz! Thank you all! We're privileged to be able to consider you friends...

CONTEST FINALIST PRIZES
BOSKO 2009-11-13 23:43:54 Well we have an announcement about the prizes for the finalists of our JOIN THE SAFARI VIDEO CONTEST... KEONEPAX, MAX and AMELIA ROBINSON will each receive a UKULELE made by either MIKE DaSILVA or KIWAYA! The catch is we can't say what the ukes are yet, and the finalists will have to wait 6 months to get their hands on them... WHY???? I think we heard someone say? Because we're gonna take them on Safari first, and take photographs of each uke in scenic locations all over Australia! Of course the ukes will then be second-hand, but at least they'll be well travelled and with holiday snaps to prove it!!! The finalists may not be able to "Join the Safari" but at least their prize uke will!!!

Good Company?
BOSKO 2009-11-01 19:19:30 Well we discovered we needed to become a Company for Ukulele Safari Australia 2010 to come together properly (it's getting much bigger than we initially thought, and we've been working at it non-stop!), and so I registered Ukulele Safari Pty Ltd online the other night... It was pretty nerve-wracking, and luckily Honey made some yummy Chinese-style boiled dumplings as a reward!
